Cooley Group And Formetco Announce Joint Venture - CF Solar, LLC Integrates Tomorrow’s Technologies Today

Pawtucket, RI—Cooley Group is pleased to announce the formation of CF Solar, LLC, a joint venture with Formetco, Incorporated. This new company will combine flexible composites with thin film flexible photovoltaic solar panels, EcoSeriesTM LED lighting systems and Smart LinkTM controllers to create an unparrelled energy saving system.

The CF Solar system, patent pending, will include all of the equipment required for integration to the electrical grid for billboards, signs, awnings and transit shelter applications. In addition, CF Solar will provide complete battery systems for areas that do not have access to electrical power.

CF Solar combines years of expert knowledge of engineered polymer membrane technology, advanced lighting and control systems and leading-edge solar technologies to create electricity-generating systems. These systems will generate clean renewable energy to power either a billboard, sign, awning or transit shelter, with excess electricity being sold back to local utility companies through net metering or feed-in tariff programs. CF Solar will design and develop systems to meet customer’s specific applications.
