Upcoming SGIA Canadian Webinars Provide Training Certification
Webinar series focuses on TDG shipping regulations
Fairfax, Virginia — SGIA’s Canadian Webinar series, Transporting Dangerous Goods by Ground in Canada, offers specialty imaging businesses essential training for shipping personnel.
According to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), most solvents, including press wash, ink degradent and print-head cleaners, along with haze remover are all considered to be hazardous goods. Any Canadian-based specialty imaging business, that either receives or ships these products, must provide training to all affected staff, including shippers and receivers who prepare shipping documents and package dangerous goods.
“This is a great opportunity for businesses seeking a valid certification of training for Canadian TDG regulations,” said Dan Marx, Vice President of Markets and Technologies. “After attending the Webinar series and successfully completing a written test, participants will receive an official certificate good for three years.”
The Webinars will be presented by Judy Zaczkowski, Founding Partner and Senior Consultant of EssentialEHS Inc., an environmental, health and safety (EHS) consulting company based in Toronto.
Session One — April 9, 2009
Learn how to identify dangerous goods at your facility and which of the nine classes of dangerous goods apply to your workplace.
