Gemini Incorporated Receives Green Star Facility Award

Cannon Falls, MN — Gemini Incorporated has received the Minnesota Green Star Facility Award from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The Green Star Award is given to a select group of manufacturers with recognition for their stewardship in recycling efforts, managing waste streams, and protection of human health and the environment.

The award was given following an audit by the agency of Gemini’s manufacturing facilities in Cannon Falls, Minnesota acknowledging compliance with all applicable environmental requirements. Gemini Incorporated is a world leader in the manufacture of dimensional letters, logos and plaques for the sign industry

“Receiving the Minnesota Green Star award vividly shows that Gemini Incorporated recognizes and manages its facilities and resources with care for the community, its citizens and the environment as a whole,” stated Jet Tran, the company’s Safety and Environmental Officer. “Our employees share in this important accomplishment and for that we are very proud.”

Gemini Incorporated’s Cannon Falls facilities produce architectural and etched plaques, thermoformed letters & logos, and Snap-Lock™ brand changeable copy letters. Gemini architectural plaques are made of bronze or aluminum, and etched plaques are made from virgin brass, bronze, copper and stainless steel. All Gemini plaques are free of lead and mercury. Letters and logos produced in Gemini’s Minnesota facility are made from Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB), an earth-friendly plastic that is made from cotton and wood fibers. CAB contains no petroleum and is completely recyclable.
