FASTSIGNS® triples capacity by adding state-of-the-art technology from Gandinnovations

FASTSIGNS® triples capacity by adding state-of-the-art technology from Gandinnovations Colors are sharp, resolution outstanding!

(Burlington, Ontario) - As the Burlington-based FASTSIGNS® Company embarks on its twelfth year, the center plans to gain additional momentum within the market and attributes its future growth projections to the purchase and installation of a Jeti 1224 True UV Flatbed printer from Gandinnovations. The Burlington-based FASTSIGNS® is the first within the network of more than 530 franchise centers worldwide to purchase the Jeti 1224 UV printer and expect that others will soon follow.

The Burlington-based company has a solid reputation as a market leader and trendsetter. In 2007 the Burlington FASTSIGNS® center became the first ever Canadian FASTSIGNS® to be inducted into the FASTSIGNS® International Pacesetters group, which signifies the top 20 highest achieving FASTSIGNS® centers worldwide.

Frank Kent and his wife Mary opened the doors to their Burlington FASTSIGNS® sign and graphics centre in 1996. Since then, the Kent’s and their family have spent every year working to develop and adapt their business to meet the ever-changing needs of customers, while remaining current on the sign industry’s rapidly evolving technologies and practices.

“The Jeti 1224 offers an unbeatable combination of print quality and speed within a very economical price range," comments Frank Kent, president of Burlington FASTSIGNS®.

With the ability to achieve a resolution of 1200 dpi, the Jeti 1224 UV printer produces high quality, photographic-quality images and can print directly onto virtually any surface, faster and easier than any previous machine. In addition to its superior print quality, color gamut and speed, the Jeti 1224 is designed for around-the-clock production, allowing the centre to turn around high-volume orders more quickly than before.

“The sign climate is constantly changing, so we survey the market on an ongoing basis to stay knowledgeable of the latest technologies and trends within the industry,” adds Kent. “Deciding to invest in a new printer such as this one took a lot of careful thought and research. The Jeti 1224 UV offered us the right combination of durability, print quality and capacity that we required to meet the growing needs of our customers.”

“The Jeti 1224 UV printer is an impressive addition to the Kent’s already high performance equipment lineup,” said Jim Hunt, director of technical services at FASTSIGNS International, Inc. “The new printer fits with the hard work ethic of the Burlington FASTSIGNS team and has the potential to increase the centre’s capacity to three times what it was before.”

“Technology will come and go, but it is our loyal customer base that helps us continue in our success,” says Kent. “Moving forward our goal remains to provide everyone who passes through our doors with innovative, cost-effective sign and graphic solutions.”

The Jeti 1224 UV True Flatbed is a compact and economical flatbed specifically designed to give print shops the versatility they need. The Jeti 1224 UV True Flatbed uses 24 Spectra print heads to produce high speed graphics in 6 colors with 1200 dpi. The Jeti 1224 can achieve 40 sqm/hr (450 sqft/hr) in 6 pass production mode. This true flatbed table using a linear motion to control movement ensures a perfect registration on rigid and flexible materials every time.

The Jeti 1224 is designed for 24/7 productivity with a single operator intervention making easy loading and unloading of large and heavy materials on the 4ft x 8ft print area. A strong vacuum table holds virtually any rigid material in place up to 5 cm (2”) in thickness. White ink and clear varnish mode; gives even more versatility.

FASTSIGNS® sign and graphics centers offer consulting, design, production, file transfer, delivery, installation for a full range of custom sign and graphic products, including wide format banners and POP, site signs, exhibit graphics, window and vehicle graphics, decals and labels, safety and identification signage and floor graphics for interior and exterior use.
