OAAA Honors Walt Disney Company with Hall of Fame Award
Washington, D.C. —The Walt Disney Company was inducted into the OBIE Hall of Fame on the final night of the 2007 OAAA National Convention and Trade Show in San Diego. Since 1992, OAAA has annually bestowed an OBIE Hall of Fame Award to a brand in recognition of long-standing excellence in the use of the outdoor medium.
This distinction underscores the company’s longtime excellence in the use of outdoor advertising for its many iconic brands. A treasure trove of memorable Disney outdoor campaigns have heralded the arrival of classic films, directed motorists as they traveled along highways leading to Magic Kingdoms, announced the grand opening of Disney Stores, and reminded consumers about the many media properties owned and operated by the Walt Disney Company.
“Disney outdoor has enchanted audiences with its campaigns for generations. The 2007 OBIE Hall of Fame Award is a testament to the creativity of the Walt Disney Company and its many agencies that have supported its advertising objectives over many decades,” said Stephen Freitas, OAAA’s chief marketing officer.
