OAAA Elects New Officers
Washington, D.C. – Big decisions were made during meetings preceding the OAAA National Convention and Trade Show launch in San Diego. At the OAAA Biennial Membership Meeting, new officers were elected to spearhead the industry for the 2007-2009 term.
Mark Moyer, president of Fairway Outdoor Advertising headquartered in Augusta, GA, was elected chairman of the OAAA and will commence his new role this month and complete it in 2009. Mark has served as the vice-chair of the Safety, Standards and Technology Committee. He also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Traffic Audit Bureau (TAB) and the Foundation for Outdoor Advertising Research and Education (FOARE).
According to the association’s President and CEO Nancy Fletcher, “The outdoor industry is extremely fortunate to have such a strong leadership team at the helm to serve and advance the needs of outdoor media companies, advertisers, and the general public.”
In addition to Moyer, the following OAAA officers were elected:
Secretary: William Reagan, Sr., Chairman, Reagan National Advertising based in Salt Lake City, UT.
Treasurer: Kevin Reilly, Jr., President & CEO, Lamar Advertising Company based in Baton Rouge, LA.
Vice Chair, Communications: Richard Schaps, Chairman and CEO, Van Wagner Communications based in New York, NY
Vice Chair, Legislation: Jim McIlwain, Counsel, Lamar Advertising Company based in Baton Rouge, LA.
Vice Chair, Marketing: Jim Matalone, President, NextMedia Outdoor based in Sarasota, FL.
Vice Chair, Membership: Tom Norton, Chairman and CEO, Norton Outdoor Advertising based in Cincinnati, OH.
Vice Chair, Standards, Safety & Technology: Charles B. Miller, President Media Division of Burkhart Advertising, Inc. based in South Bend, IN.
Vice Chair, Ways & Means: Wally Kelly, Chairman and CEO, CBS Outdoor based in Phoenix, AZ.
Ex-Officio Chair: Paul Meyer, Global President and COO, Clear Channel Outdoor based in Phoenix, AZ.
