32 Expert Speakers Over 3 Days: Program Set for the International Seminar for LEDs, Display and Lighting 2007

Seoul, Korea - ­ LED EXPO Secretariat, organizers for the combined LED EXPO, International FPD Korea, and Lighting Sign Korea exhibition, have announced a finalized program for the three-day international seminar that will highlight Korea’s premier event for lighting and display technologies. Thirty-two expert speakers from Asia, Europe and the US will present a diverse and dynamic exchange of information regarding research and development in LEDs, flat panel displays, and next generation lighting. More than 400 attendees are expected for the International Seminar for LEDs, Display and Lighting 2007 (ISLDL 2007) which will be held from May 30 to June 1, 2007 at the KINTEX Exhibition Center, outside of Seoul, Korea.

The program features technical seminars by Samsung Electronics and LG Innotek, two of Korea’s lighting and display leaders, as well as presentations on industry topics that include advances in AMOLED fabrication and display resolution, developments in LCD BLU’s, LED commercial lighting applications, the next generation in touch screen technology, recent developments in HID lamp efficacy, market roadmaps for the FPD industry, and more.

The roster of distinguished speakers includes:

• Dr. Michael Lebby, president of the Optoelectronics Industry Development Association.
• Dr. Chris Williams, director of the UK Display Networks Limited
• Dr. Byeong-Ko Kim, senior engineer at LG Philips LCD
• Dr. Hye-Dong Kim, research manager at Samsung SDI
• Dr. Malcolm Thompson, founder and first chairman of the US Display Consortium
• Dr. Walter Lapatovich, industrial research director OSRAM Sylvania
