Three FASTSIGNS International Employees Receive Special Recognition at FASTSIGNS® Annual Convention

(Carrollton, Texas) - Three FASTSIGNS International, Inc. (FII) employees, located on three different continents, received special recognition awards at FASTSIGNS® annual convention held recently in Colorado Springs.

Andy Simpson, franchise business consultant in the United Kingdom, Brian Boehm, manager of technical services at the corporate headquarters in Texas, and Kate Groom, General Manager, SIGNWAVE® in Australia, each received the FASTSIGNS® Special Recognition Award from the franchisor of sign and graphic centers with over 500 centers worldwide.

In presenting the awards, Susan Last, CFE, senior vice president of franchise services, said that each of these three valuable members of the FASTSIGNS team “exemplify FASTSIGNS international commitment to excellence. They have gone above and beyond to provide the ultimate in customer service to the FASTSIGNS/SIGNWAVE networks and to their fellow staff members. They take their commitments to their work very seriously and their dedication and hard work show in everything they accomplish.”

Simpson successfully co-owned a FASTSIGNS center in Leeds, UK with his father and understands every aspect of how to run a successful and profitable FASTSIGNS operation. He left the store environment in 2004 and took on the role as franchise business consultant (FBC) for all UK franchisees. With a background in computer technology, he is insightful on the technical side of the operation, and proactively helps in other areas including UK Franchise Sales.

Boehm has been involved in the sign business since 1994, working as a screen printer in Midland, Texas. He began his career with FASTSIGNS in 1997 on the technical side of the business by working as the Computer Graphic/Wide Format Manager and eventually Operations Manager for Chris and Jean-Ann Taylor’s Arlington, Texas center. He joined FII in 2005 as a technical services representative. Soon after, he began traveling and impacting center digital operations and technical capabilities. Boehm also exhibited a devotion to research and testing digital printing technologies, products and media, and was promoted to the position of manager of technical services in 2006. His leadership has increased the tech team’s efficiency in all areas of technical support, while assisting centers in using digital technology and workflow practices to increase their sales and improve their bottom line.

Groom is originally from England, where she worked in accounting and corporate recovery in London and eventually Hong Kong. She moved to Australia 13 years ago, and began working within the franchise sector, starting out as a financial support executive for a well known print franchise system, where she was responsible for introducing benchmarking and performance improvement programs, and was named employee of the year in 1996. In 2002, she was appointed the general manager for SIGNWAVE®, the Australian equivalent of FASTSIGNS, who repurchased the master rights in 2006, incorporating SIGNWAVE into the worldwide FASTSIGNS franchise system. She is a member of the New South Wales Chapter Committee for the Franchise Council of Australia and the New South Wales Committee for Australian Sign and Graphic Association.

FASTSIGNS® sign and graphics centers use innovation and technology to make the sign buying process simple by offering consulting, design, production, file transfer, delivery, installation for a full range of custom sign and graphic products, including wide format banners and POP, site signs, exhibit graphics, window and vehicle graphics, decals and labels, safety and identification signage and floor graphics for interior and exterior use.
