Mersive 50 Million Pixel Display is Strong Proof of Concept for Its Breakthrough Visual Technology

Louisville, KY - Mersive Technologies, Inc. unveiled its Mega Display at the fourth annual international IdeaFestival. The display, a mammoth 25-by-15 foot seamless, ultra high-resolution projection of a collection of 50 million pixel images and video, was achieved by a coordinated projection from 80 individual, off-the-shelf projectors, driven and processed by the Mersive software.

Today’s display marked the public launch of Mersive’s breakthrough visual display technology. The Mersive solution now enables virtually any customer to easily create, configure and construct a large-format, visual display, quickly and easily at a level of affordability that was previously unattainable.

Such displays are commonly used in training, simulation, research & development, advertising and collaborative engineering. “Think of a ‘Jumbotron’ at your favorite sports arena,” explained Mersive CEO Joseph L. Ortiz, “or the situation room at The White House. “These are familiar examples of large-scale visual displays that we will help spread into new markets and applications, enabling customers to unlock opportunities and advances in their particular sectors.”

The Mersive solution is based on technology developed and refined at the University of Kentucky under the direction of Dr. Christopher Jaynes. “This demonstration serves as undeniable proof of concept,” says Jaynes, now chief technology officer of Mersive. “The extreme application proved unquestionably that we’re ready to address real world customer needs for high-quality, ultra-high resolution digital displays.
