PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 26, 2006

TexPress, Inc. and Japan Network Services Co. Ltd. launch the TexPress DSS 1800II

TexPress, Inc. and Japan Network Services Co. Ltd. launch the TexPress DSS 1800II a new dye sublimation direct textile printing system and companion light fast inks at SGIA ‘06 Las Vegas, SGIA ’06 — Japan Network Service Co., Ltd. and TexPress, Inc., its newly formed U.S. subsidiary are today introducing the TexPress DSS-1800II direct textile printing system and companion TexPress Light Fast Inks in booth #0126 SGIA ’06, Las Vegas Convention Center, September 26-29, 2006.

The new TexPress DSS 1800II uses a dye sublimation engine to print and sublimate directly on polyester fabric in-line at output width to 72” (1.8 meters). An optional, built-in heat cutter automatically sears and cuts the fabric with high precision to eliminate fraying and dramatically reduce manual cutting labor. The machine’s ability to print directly on uncoated fabrics means there is no need to buy transfer paper, thereby providing time and cost savings over other more cumbersome methods of textile printing that involve multiple steps and materials. In addition, the machine uses approximately ˝ the amount of ink of traditional dye sublimation printing for low consumables cost.

“The TexPress DSS 1800II is distinctive because it does not require the use of transfer media and there is no need for pre- and post-production treatment of the resulting printed fabric,” says Chuck Sharp, president of TexPress, Inc. “It’s easy to use and can even be operated unattended. In short, it’s the first dye sublimation textile printer to combine simplicity with functionality and practicality, resulting in savings in time, labor, consumables and waste materials.”

The TexPress DSS 1800II offers a choice of printing modes: high speed at 360x360 dpi in 2 passes with output speeds up to 344 sq. ft/hr (32 sqm/hr); normal speed at 360x720 dpi in 4 passes with output at up to 172 sq. ft./hr (16 sqm/hr) both using the CMYKMC color space; and fine mode at 720x720 dpi in 8 passes at output speeds up to 86 sq. ft./hr (8 sqm/hr) using the CMYKLcLm color space.

The TexPress DSS 1800II is targeted as a solution for light weight flag and banner, trade show graphics and custom textile printing markets including theater curtains and backdrops and more. The machine uses specially developed TexPress direct light fast inks which are water-based for environmental friendliness while providing a 2-year outdoor life.

The TexPress DSS 1800II printer was first previewed to much interest in early April at the ISA International Sign Expo 2006 in Orlando, FL. A beta test site in the U.S. is currently working with a production version of the machine, which will be available for additional customer deliveries later this year. An optional automatic heat cutter is also available.

TexPress, Inc., based in San Diego is the new U.S. subsidiary formed to market the printer and its companion inks in North America; the company has openings for resellers in a variety of areas and markets.
