Roland Introduces New Desktop Design Cutters
LAKE FOREST, CA - Roland Advanced Solutions Division (ASD), manufacturer of the world’s best-selling vinyl cutters, today introduced a new generation of STIKA desktop design cutters. In addition to a fresh look, the upgraded cutters come with powerful CutStudio software and a USB connection.
“Small offices, schools and hobbyists now have an even better way to produce custom graphics,” said Rick Rivera, Roland ASD applications engineer. “Easy to use and affordable, the new STIKA produces everything from colorful POP displays and labels to iron-on graphics for t-shirts. Bundled CutStudio software lets people tile up to 16 designs and contour cut printed images.”
Roland CutStudio™ design software can reduce, re-position, rotate, tile and mirror images. It enlarges images as crisp as original size and cuts TrueType fonts without outlining. CutStudio also supports BMP, JPG, STX, AI, and EPS file formats. CorelDraw® and Adobe® Illustrator plug-ins are included for Windows 98/SE/ME/2000/XP as well as an Adobe Illustrator plug-in for Mac OS9 and higher.
The new STIKA makes an easy-to-use and cost-effective print/cut solution. People can print registration marks with their desktop printer, load the printed graphic into the cutter, and manually set the position of the registration marks.
