Roland Promotes David Olson to National Sales Manager

LAKE FOREST, CA -Roland Advanced Solutions Division (ASD) today announced the promotion of David Olson to national sales manager. In his new position, Olson will work to expand Roland’s dealer network and increase sales for cutting, engraving and CAD/CAM products.

“David has played a major role in our success,” said Gerald Hiller, Roland ASD managing director. “With creativity and enthusiasm, he has developed our dealer channels and built a strong marketing department. As our national sales manager, he will use his sales management skills to continue to grow our business.”

“We have an exciting lineup of products for the sign making, engraving, auto personalization, jewelry design and CAD/CAM industries,” said Olson. “But that’s just the beginning. There many other markets we will be moving into.”

For the past three years, Olson has served Roland as both marketing manager and business development manager. He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University and began his engineering career designing and prototyping complex mechanical systems at General Dynamics and Raytheon. While working as a design engineer, Olson expanded his formal business education by earning his masters degree in Engineering Management with special emphasis in the Marketing of Technology from George Washington University.
