ISA International Sign Expo Named Among The 200 Largest Trade Shows In The Nation
Fourth Consecutive Year to Make the Prestigious Tradeshow 200 List
Alexandria, VA - The International Sign Association’s (ISA) International Sign Expo was named to Tradeshow Week magazine’s prestigious Tradeshow Week 200 list for the fourth consecutive year, ranking as the 121st largest trade show in the nation, rising three spots from the previous year’s listing. This ranking is based on ISA’s 2005 Expo, held in Las Vegas, Nev., a record-breaking event which sold 1,647 booths. Previously, ISA’s Expo ranked number 124 (2004); 132 (2003); and 142 (2002).
“We appreciate the recognition by Tradeshow Week,” said ISA President and CEO Lori Anderson. “Our team both those on staff and our Board of Directors will continue to strive to ensure that the International Sign Expo is the number one place to gain information about the sign industry, its products, and the way business is conducted.”
“Making it onto such a prestigious list for the fourth consecutive year shows the breadth and depth of the dynamic sign industry on display each year at the Expo,” said ISA Senior Vice President Brian McNamara. “It’s a tribute to our exhibitors, attendees and staff, and it also challenges ISA to adapt and innovate to ensure that the Expo continues to be a must-attend event for the sign industry.”
The Tradeshow Week 200 ranking is the culmination of a year-long process of compiling and analyzing data on nearly 5,000 shows held throughout the U.S. Rankings are based on the net square footage of exhibit space sold, said Adam Schaffer, publisher of the Los Angeles-based magazine. “ISA’s show size keeps increasing, and that’s reflected in where it’s placed on the list,” Schaffer said. “It’s a fluid ranking based on very specific criteria.”
This announcement comes on the heels of the recent record-breaking Expo 2006, held April 5-8 in Orlando, Fla. The event, which showcased 1,715 booths representing 566 companies, boasted more exhibit booths than any previous Expo. To date, ISA has sold 1,354 booths for Expo 2007, which will be held April 11-14, 2007, in Las Vegas. Nearly a year in advance of the show, this represents more total booths than were featured at Expo 2003 (1,340 booths).
