ISA Celebrates Another Successful International Sign Expo - Largest Sign Show in the World Breaks Exhibit Space Records
Alexandria, VA - The International Sign Association (ISA) today called its 2006 International Sign Expo an ‘unrivaled success.’ Held April 5-8 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., the event drew large crowds and boasted more exhibitors than any previous Expo.
The Expo attracted 19,863 attendees and showcased 1,715 exhibit booths representing 566 companies demonstrating the newest technologies in the signage and graphics industries.
"Our exhibitors were delighted with the quality and quantity of attendees,” said ISA President and CEO Lori Anderson. “Across the board, exhibitors reported that attendees weren’t just window shopping they were ready to buy.”
ISA Senior Vice President Brian McNamara attributes the increase in exhibitors to an improving economy, and access to more qualified attendees than at any other industry event. “With nearly 20,000 sign industry professionals on hand for the exhibit hall and to take part in the first rate educational opportunities available at the Expo, exhibiting companies know that this is the place to be to meet with qualified customers,” he said.
“We’re a small shop, so we want to get any advantage we can,” said Eric Carlson of first-time Expo exhibitor Emerge Industries, Inc. “As far as new product introductions go, this show brought in a host of qualified customers. It was a very successful show for us,” he said.
More than 75 percent of the show floor space has been reserved for the 61st International Sign Expo, scheduled for April 11-14, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nev. “We are thrilled that the exhibiting community continues to support ISA and our Expo,” said Anderson. “With three-quarters of the show floor already sold, we look forward to another successful event next year.”
