Awning Composer Now with Expanded Colors, Language Options

CLEVELAND, OH - ­ An important tool in awning design has recently been enhanced to more accurately envision client projects. The Awning Composer V4.06 software from Canvas Link has expanded its color matches to dozens of fabrics now offered by The Astrup Company. The program is also now available in both French/English and Spanish/English text. Combined with Estimator Link V2, this easy-to-use software makes renderings and estimates a snap.

Designed by awning professionals for awning professionals, Awning Composer V4.06 and Estimator Link V2 help fabricators and their customers visualize a finished project. The software superimposes 3D models of awnings with a customer’s desired fabrics, valance, text and graphics onto an image of their property. The powerful 3D visualization can make all the difference in making the sale for a fabricator.

With its easy to use mouse-driven interface, Awning Composer requires little computer know-how and no prior graphics experience. Using a digital image of a customer’s property, Awning Composer utilizes a 3D graphics system to manipulate objects to get a perfect fit to the building and a sense of perspective. With more than 60 pre-built 3D models of awnings, signs, poles, and other shapes, and more than 1,300 industry-standard fabrics and films, design opportunities are endless.

Estimator Link V2 comes with nearly 50 customizable formulas loaded with industry standard metrics that take entered dimensions and instantly produce accurate estimates and scaled 3D frame drawings and calculations. The software produces a customizable quotation with a fabricator’s individual logo and disclaimer information that can be printed or saved to disk. A Calculation Summary report lets fabricators compare projected versus actual cost on a job-by-job basis.
